People are often hesitant to hire a caregiver because they don’t know where to find someone who will give them peace of mind. This was the case for Carol Bard, who, while caring for her father after her mother’s death, didn’t know where to turn for assistance or what services were needed to meet his specific needs. Driven by her personal experience, Carol established Peace of Mind Care in 2013 to provide professional in-home care as well as link clients to reputable businesses and resources so they could remain at home or be able to better care for a loved one.
When you hire Peace of Mind Care you will always be treated with compassion and respect by our caregivers. All services are performed to the highest level by experienced, friendly professionals committed to helping you live in your home as independently as possible. If a move to a retirement home or long term care facility does become necessary Peace of Mind Care will be there to help with the transition.
Your caregiver will be the same or the same team depending on the hours of care required. This allows you to develop a trusted and friendly relationship.
Customized care plans, ongoing assessments, and flexible service hours are designed to accommodate individual needs. Peace of Mind Care partners with a number of trusted care providers including physicians, denturists, and physiotherapists, and other professionals you may need to ensure you receive a complete care solution.
A year after Carol’s mother passed away she received a phone call that her father had suffered a fall. Her life changed as she suddenly found herself in the role of caregiver. Carol did the best she could for her father but being unsure of how to deal with the challenges that came each day left her feeling discouraged. After her father’s death Carol founded Peace of Mind Care to provide the kind of care people could count on and trust. A business that would offer complete service - senior home care, dementia care, companionship, after hospital care, respite care, palliative care, foot care. As well as sourcing information and connecting with other health care professionals - and most of all, give peace of mind.
